Overview
This indicator tracks the market capitalization of the top decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, decentralized stablecoins and tokenized Bitcoin. It does not include, however, oracles protocols such as Chainlink, whose functions are broader than finance.

IntoTheBlock calculates each token's market capitalization by multiplying its circulating supply times its current price.
💡 How can I use it?
The market capitalization of the DeFi space is helpful to grasp the growth in valuations of DeFi tokens. This insight is useful as an overview of the entire space, showing the tokens with the largest market share within parenthesis in the chart’s tooltip.
Users are also able to select which tokens or token group they would like to see in the graph, making it a helpful tool for comparison of price performance of top DeFi tokens. At the same time, it should be noted that assets such as WBTC and DAI tend to see sudden increases in market capitalization caused by their circulating supply increasing from users minting these tokens by providing the corresponding collateral.
