Total ETH Staked

Overview

Total ETH Staked is an indicator that shows the total amount of ETH that has been allocated towards the Ethereum staking contract over time. The total amount can be displayed either in USD or in ETH.

💡 How can I use it?

A growing number of ETH Staked is a proxy of how resistant the consensus mechanism is to external economic attacks. The potential attackers would need to own and stake a considerable percentage of the total staked amount. For this reason, the higher the staking amount the more secure the Ethereum blockchain. The indicator can be also used as a proxy of how much interest and trust there is over the consensus
