Created Unspent Transaction Outputs
Overview
Many of the first generation blockchains (such as Bitcoin and Litecoin) use unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs) to account for usersβ funds. Whenever a transaction is made a new UTXO is created, indicating the input (where the funds came from) and the output (where funds are being transferred to).
In this case, Created Unspent Transaction Outputs refer to the total count or volume of transactions and funds being generated in blockchain transactions.
π‘ How can I use it?
Created UTXOs reflect transaction activity from a different point of view. While the number of transactions indicator shows the total count in transfers, created UTXOs show the number of transactions that are used as inputs, meaning that it includes multi-input transactions.
Multi-input transactions refer to those that have UTXOs deriving from many addresses sending funds in one single transaction. Therefore, created UTXOs provide a more holistic accounting of all transactions occurring on-chain given that multi-input transactions are not recorded in regular transaction statistics.
